New undercarriage parts and rubber tracks are sold individually but we suggest replacing all of your worn parts at the same time.

This is the replacement aftermarket tension idler for the following Caterpillar mini excavators:


  • Cat 302.2D (Must verify specs)
  • Cat 302.4D(Must verify specs)
  • Cat 302.7DCR

The tension idler installs on the opposite end of the undercarriage from the sprocket and this is the part that expands out as you pump the grease in the tensioner to tighten the rubber track.


For the 302.4D model you must verify size, alternate option 379-2885.
